We never thought we would be the ones asking for help. We thought we would be the ones bringing our baby home, setting up the crib, and arguing about whose nose he has.

Instead, our home has become the Pediatric ICU. Leo was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare defect where the left side of the heart doesn't form correctly.

The doctors say the surgery scheduled for February 15th has a 92% success rate. Those are amazing odds. But the specialized post-op care and out-of-network procedures require a deposit we simply don't have. We have sold our car, maxed our cards, but we are still short.
